The terrain was unusually flat today. So with a brisk tailwind, I arrived at Humbug Mountain State Park, my destination for the night, just before 2 pm., which is early for me.
Beautiful weather and scenery once again.
Dan, the cyclist camped in the site adjacent to mine, told me he’s been riding around the US for three years promoting suicide risk awareness.
He’s originally from Plymouth, Mass.
He says thus far he’s ridden his bike more than 19,000 miles promoting his issue and was sidelined for seven months after being struck by an automobile.
He smokes quite a bit for a cyclist, both cigarettes and weed.
I realize marijuana is legal out here.
But I have yet to get used to seeing it so publicly consumed.
Also in the campground: Father/son team of Ian (15) and Dan, Rancho Cucamanga CA.
