Homecoming 2021, Day 30, 7/15; 43.3 miles to Samuel P. Taylor State Park; TM: 1,258.9

The gang

Relatively easy day to Samuel P. Taylor State Park. Still plenty of hills but most not steeply graded.

I could have gone farther but this sets me up for a doable dash tomorrow to the next state park in Half Moon Bay on the southern side of the San Francisco metro area.

Samuel P. Taylor park is very nice with all its redwoods. But water has been scarce here during this year’s drought, so both the showers and flush toilets have been turned off.

If this portapotty-only trend continues, I may be forced to change plans and book some motels, even though coastal motels are charging exorbitant rates this summer.  I have been spoiled by the showers.

Wishing the Apogee gang the best of luck. They are ending their ride tomorrow in San Francisco. I really enjoyed riding along with them. They’ve got great team spirit!

Roasted lamb sandwich with feta and sauteed onions, peppers, and tomatoes from great deli in Tomales CA. Believe I could get into this California Foodie thing.
